Dr. Siddiqui has 48 years of professional experience in the diversified arena including Journalist, Editor, and Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Information. As an Acting Editor of a national daily, he mainly drives the institution from planning to final publication. In his long experiences in print and electronic media, he was Headed to different renowned newspapers and government institutions. Dr Siddiqui was also employed as the Press Secretary of the Prime Minister and the Chief Adviser of the Caretaker Government of Bangladesh. He headed the Press Institute of Bangladesh a government institute that provides training and conducts research on social issues. The institute runs different long-term and short-term courses and several postgraduate diplomas in media and communication and journalism for journalists, would-be journalists, and individuals. As the Head of the Institute, he led the research actions and Principal of the institute as ex-officio. He conducted different training workshops and research initiatives under this institution. More than 50 books, novels, stories, and publications and more than a thousand articles have published during this long journey of success and are publishing present day as well. He was the editor and the translator of Sheba Prokashani; one of his best adaptation works was Henry Sherrie’s ‘Papillion,’ the world-famous book on struggling towards freedom. He is affiliated with different journalists and literary forums. Dr. Siddiqui is a writer, novelist, playwright, columnist, panelist, facilitator, and public speaker.
