Innovation For Green Humanitarian Action And Adaptation

With an aim to design a platform that connects grassroots innovators to all relevant entities in the ecosystem and empowers them to prototype, pilot and scale new and existing innovative products and services CARE Bangladesh and inSights have jointly organised the event on Innovation for Green Humanitarian Action and Adaptation Stakeholder Consultation. The key goal of the consultation meeting was to strengthen the humanitarian ecosystem of Bangladesh by empowering and mainstreaming human-centric innovations that encourage teams to go further by covering multiple sides of the innovation equation.

The organizers were inspired by two main principles. A co-creation program has been launched to translate ideas for humanitarian actors, bridging the gap between grassroots groups and those with a long history of involvement in the ecosystem of humanitarian innovation.

Five chosen organizations presented their concepts and inventions in the areas of WASH, MHM, and crops that might help humanitarian actors in any type of emergency circumstance. Local inventors were invited to display their posters on their innovations on the same occasion. This strategy was designed to inspire grassroots innovators.

The most crucial tenet of this event was that grassroots innovators were guided to identify their own difficulties and strengthen their thoughts for problem-solving strategies. Together, Care Bangladesh and inSights planned through this event to develop an extensive network of humanitarian actors and innovators in order to build a receptive and sustainable humanitarian ecosystem.
